How to begin walking towards the impossible

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do that feels completely out of reach? Maybe it’s making millions, starting a business, living by the beach, or pursuing a dream that’s been tucked away for years. Whether this dream is still alive or you haven’t revisited it in a while, it's worth asking yourself:

What would a fulfilling life look like for you?

Imagine you had even a 5% chance of achieving something that seems impossible. Would that be enough to push you to try? What kind of support would you need beyond your own willpower? The thought of a 95% chance of failure can be daunting, like standing at the base of a mountain that seems too high to climb.

What if you started with just one small step, without worrying about the whole plan?

Exploring your dreams and deciding where you want to go can feel like a playground full of endless possibilities. However, we often get stuck when we start worrying about how exactly we’ll reach our goals. This overthinking can paralyse us, doubts creep in and they convince us that our dreams are too difficult, that we’re not good enough, or that there’s no point in even trying.

As a result, we don’t start at all.

We can’t solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them. — Albert Einstein

Instead of fixating on a big, daunting goal, what if you simply set a general direction?

For example, if your vision is to be healthier, you can begin moving toward that goal in many different ways. There isn’t just one path—there are countless opportunities and experiences to explore. You can experiment, taking it one step at a time.

What impossible thing would you like to take a step towards?
