Small shifts for big changes

People don’t always notice how much they’ve changed and grown. It can often take a friend or a coach to point it out to them and acknowledge it.

And it’s not always big obvious things, it can be the small changes that show the bigger shifts.

5 shifts I’ve recently seen in people:

Permission to pause

Instead of submitting to the default culture of urgency, they slow down, reflect, make conscious choices and end up achieving more in their life and work, with less stress.

Trusting themselves

Instead of listening to the voices outside of themselves, they learn to listen and trust their inner GPS to make intentional choices.

Sharing in public

Instead of taking on the judgements of others and overthinking opinions out of their control, they step outside their comfort zone into their learning zone.

Permission to get it wrong

They see that courage comes from trying, not just winning, and that success is part of the process. They practice experiments.

Letting go

Instead of holding on to people, companies, and circumstances that don’t serve or fulfil them anymore, they make conscious choices that are no longer the default.

Change can start with tiny reflections and lead to big insights and action. If you've noticed someone make some brave changes, why not acknowledge them and let them know. They might not have noticed themselves yet!
